Cause: Rabies are caused by a virus called Rhabdoviridae.
Symptoms: Early symptoms of Rabies are Flu-like symptoms including, headache, malaise, fever, fatigue, violent movements, uncontrolled excitement, depression, hydrophobia, confusion, difficulty swallowing, and hydrophobia (fear of water), etc. In most cases death almost invariably results two to ten days after first symptoms.
Treatment: There is no specific treatment for Rabies. However shots are given after exposure to the virus.
Prevention: Try to avoid animal bites and scratchs. Clean bites and scratchs very well after opened wound. Ex: Hydrogen Peroxide or Iodine. Also get your animals and family vaccinated.

2. Rabies mostly happen in the wild to animals.
3. 40% of people who are bitten by suspect rabid animals are children under 15 years of age.
